Project Description

Our consultants provided Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning support to the Mastercard Foundation Young Africa Work Programme. This involved collecting data on progress in achieving outcomes and impact using contextualized and empirically robust data collection tools and conducting baseline work related to outcomes and impact. Our consultants developed a country baseline snapshot linked to country roadmap outcomes, against which Impact monitoring was conducted and reported in the annual Impact report. They supported the co-creation of youth narratives of impact, with the Impact Strategy elevating narrative as a critical way of understanding the life journeys of young women and men. Additionally, they engaged, trained, and mentored Young Impact Associates – the next generation of African evaluators – and facilitated learning sessions with the Foundation’s partners in Nigeria.

Project Duration: October 2021 – September 2023
