Globally, 91 percent of countries’ national development strategies—approved since 2015—refer to the 2030 agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs); however, according to the Global Partnership for Effective Development Co-operation, only 35 percent of them have reliable data and systems to track the progress of their policies and programs.
To bridge this gap, the Global Evaluation Initiative was launched in 2020 to provide in-country capacities for monitoring and evaluation. Amidst the launch, countries are still struggling with COVID-19, which has reduced face-to-face training on M&E. Nevertheless, some institutions have developed online courses to mitigate the effect of COVID-19. By now, most of us are now used to online training sessions – either self-paced or live. In this resource, we have crowdsourced monitoring and evaluation online courses that you can attend in early 2021.
